The Town of Bridgeton is accepting bids for a hurricane cleanup contractor - This is a Pre-Selection of a hurricane and disaster cleanup vendor/contractor for future emergency events. This contractor must pre-commit to be available in the event of a hurricane or other natural disaster immediately after the event. The contractor will be responsible for all debris, loading onto their trucks and hauling to the dump site. This involves removing fallen trees using chainsaws and the loading of debris, and cleaning the effected area. Home owners will place debris and flooded household items in front of their homes for removal and this must be picked up by the Vendor/Contractor and taken to the dump site. Bridgeton is 2 miles long by 1 mile wide with approximately 5.5 miles of roads.
